Bill Burnette Kicks Off Campaign for NC State Senate in Davie County

Bill Burnette officially kicked off his campaign for NC Senate Thursday, July 24 at the home of his daughter, Sally McGuire, in Bermuda Run.  This event was a rousing success with approximately 120 people in attendance to fete Bill Burnette and show their support for his run for NC Senate.  Common topics of conversation  were  increasing highway funding for Davie and Rowan Counties, protecting local jobs, and promoting local business. 

Among those in attendance to show support for Burnette were Mayor, Fransis Slate; Attorney, Hank Van Hoy;  Bermuda Run Mayor, John Ferguson; Richard Poindexter, Davie County Commissioner; Clyde Scott, Democrat Chair of Davie County and Mazie Laurence, 1st V. Chair of the Democrat Party of Davie. 

Bill Burnette was surrounded by friends and family,  as he officially kicked off his bid for NC State Senate representing citizens of the 34th District, which includes the two counties of Davie and Rowan.
